Gregory A. Boyko is chairman and chief executive officer of Hartford Life International, Ltd., a subsidiary of The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. (NYSE: HIG). Boyko is also executive vice president and a member of Hartford Life’s Senior Leadership Group, the executive management team that develops corporate policy for the company.

As chairman and CEO of Hartford Life International, Boyko is responsible for the expansion of Hartford Life’s lines of business – including life insurance, investment products and employee benefits – into the global marketplace. Hartford Life is the leading seller of variable annuities in Japan; is a leading provider of life insurance, employee benefits and personal savings products in Brazil; and is introducing a unit linked investment bond in the United Kingdom in 2005.

Boyko joined Hartford Life in 1995 as controller and in 1996 became the company’s chief financial officer and treasurer, where he was instrumental in preparing Hartford Life for its initial public stock offering in May 1997. He was named senior vice president and CEO of international in 1998, and was promoted to executive vice president in 2004.

Prior to joining Hartford Life, Boyko was senior vice president and CFO at ING American Life Insurance Co. Previously, he was a senior vice president and CFO at a major life insurance company. He began his career as a senior tax accountant at Ernst & Young.

Boyko is a graduate of the University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut School of Law. He also holds a number of professional degrees, including the Certified Public Accountant, Chartered Life Underwriter, and Chartered Financial Consultant designations.

He is Honorary Consul General of Japan, a director of the World Affairs Council, chairman of the American Council of Life Insurers, a member of the Japan Society of New York, and a member of the Hartford Metro Chamber. In addition, he is a member of the Connecticut and American Bar Associations and the Connecticut Society of CPAs.
